Dental Implants

Our Services

Dental implant services are a significant aspect of modern dentistry, offering a durable and natural-looking solution for replacing missing teeth. Dental implants involve surgically placing artificial tooth roots (usually made of titanium) into the jawbone to support prosthetic teeth such as crowns, bridges, or dentures. Here's an overview of the dental implant services that our dental clinic might offer:

Consultation and Assessment: Patients interested in dental implants start with a comprehensive consultation. The dentist or oral surgeon will assess the patient's oral health, including the condition of the jawbone and surrounding tissues. They'll discuss the patient's medical history, goals, and expectations.

Treatment Planning: Based on the assessment, the dental team will create a personalized treatment plan. This includes determining the number of implants needed, the type of prosthetic (crown, bridge, or denture), and any necessary preparatory procedures like bone grafting or sinus lifts.

Preparatory Procedures: In cases where the jawbone lacks sufficient density or volume to support implants, bone grafting might be necessary. This involves adding bone material to the jaw to enhance its structure and stability.

Implant Placement: The actual implant placement procedure is typically performed by an oral surgeon or a dentist with specialized training in implantology. The implant is surgically inserted into the jawbone, where it fuses with the bone over time through a process called osseointegration.

Healing Period: After implant placement, there's a healing period during which osseointegration takes place. This can take several weeks to a few months, depending on the individual's healing response.

Abutment Placement: Once the implant has integrated with the bone, an abutment (connector) is placed on top of the implant. The abutment serves as the foundation for attaching the prosthetic tooth.

Impressions: Impressions or digital scans are taken to create a custom prosthetic tooth (crown, bridge, or denture) that will be securely attached to the abutment.

Prosthetic Placement: The custom prosthetic tooth is fabricated in a dental lab. Once ready, it is attached to the abutment, creating a natural-looking and functional replacement for the missing tooth.

Final Adjustments: The dentist will ensure that the prosthetic tooth fits comfortably and looks natural. Bite alignment and aesthetics are carefully checked.

Aftercare and Maintenance: Patients receive instructions on how to care for their dental implants. Good oral hygiene practices and regular dental check-ups are essential to ensure the longevity of the implants and overall oral health.

Follow-Up: The dental clinic might schedule follow-up appointments to monitor the healing process, ensure patient comfort, and address any concerns.
